HGC Global Communications’ (HGC) optical fibre network has been connected to AirTrunk’s data centre in Hong Kong.
AirTrunk, an expert on ultra-large data centres in the Asia-Pacific region, opened its HKG1 data centre in December 2020, strategically located in Tsuen Wan, a key international network hub in Hong Kong.
AirTrunk transformed an eight-storey industrial building into a world-class super-large data center with a load scale of more than 20 megawatts and a design power usage efficiency (PUE) of up to 1.35 high efficiency to support cloud users in Hong Kong and expand business in wider areas.
HGC’s comprehensive, robust and rapidly expanding optical fibre network will provide seamless connections between the new data centre and data centres in the local and even the Asia-Pacific region. Customers can start and use reliable network services within four to six weeks with specific needs Customers can even activate the relevant connection within the two to three Samsung period.
